AKROS MGMT Inc. is a small family-owned business that was established in 2014 with its headquarters in Albany, NY.

AKROS MGMG Inc. was envisioned as a project management and consulting firm designed specifically to help small and medium size contractors working with the state to meet their demanding & stringent MWBE goals. Our plan was always to help those contractors in need through project management services including but not limited to offering supervision staff, helping contractors with their projects schedule and submittal services, etc.

In 2015, we got certified through Empire State Development as a Minority-owned Business Enterprise. Shortly after, in 2016, in order to diversify the services offered to general contractors, we began to offer construction services such as selective demolition, small concrete work, rough carpentry, framing, insulation, sheetrock work, painting and masonry.

The owner had extensive experience working with NYS OGS during his early days as a Project Manager for another company, and since the inception of the company, he has mostly specialized in contracting with this agency. Drawing on the owner’s 10+ years of commercial contracting experience, AKROS MGMT Inc. has built a robust resume full of satisfied customers, including not only NYS-OGS and some other state agencies, but also several school districts throughout the Capital Region, different cities and counties in NYS. The company has also developed strong relationships with several of the most remarkable architectural firms in the Capital Region.

From 2015 to 2020, we worked very hard to establish a solid foundation for the company, creating solid relationships with other subcontractors in the area, building a solid team that works well together, and strengthening the financial capacity of the company, all of which are vital steps in moving towards the company’s established goal of becoming a solid MBE prime contractor in the entire region.

In 2020, we secured enough bonding capacity to start bidding work as a prime contractor. Our goal for the next three to five years is to become a lead MWBE prime contractor in the Capital Region as well as a mentor to other MWBE contractors that want to thrive in the construction industry. We want AKROS MGMT Inc. to be recognized as a very desirable workplace, where employees are not only treated as part of the family, but also where they are given the tools they need to grow and become better versions of themselves.
